Pasco County held the $40+ million Wiregrass Ranch Sports Complex Groundbreaking Ceremony on Thursday, June 7, 2018

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — The long-awaited Wiregrass Ranch Sports Complex Groundbreaking was Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Adam Thomas, director of tourism for Visit Pasco announced: “We’re excited that this facility is going to be a flagship facility for the Tampa market, and we’re extremely excited to be here in Wesley Chapel.”

• The new 40+ million-dollar public-private partnership will include a multipurpose gymnasium, a sports medicine facility, 8 basketball courts, 16 volleyball courts, public park, amphitheater among other features;

• The new Wiregrass Ranch Sports Complex features 8 bio-cushioned hardwood regulation courts that may be used for various sports and activities such as gymnastics,  cheerleading, dance,  basketball, volleyball,  futsal, soccer, wrestling and mixed martial arts to name a few;

• The more than 98,000 square foot sports center soft opening is expected for fall or winter of 2019 and is planned to bring in more youth sports tourism to Pasco County, Florida.
